Sunan an-Nasa’i: Book 24, Hadith 284
“ لَوْلاَ حَدَاثَةُ عَهْدِ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَبَنَيْتُهُ عَلَى أَسَاسِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ خَلْفًا فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا لَمَّا بَنَتِ الْبَيْتَ اسْتَقْصَرَتْ ” .

This impressive compilation was the achievement of the 9th century scholar Ahmad ibn Shu’ayb al-Nasa’i, who was renowned for his profound knowledge of prophetic traditions.
