Sunan an-Nasa’i: Book 16, Hadith 28
“ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّهُمَا لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَصَلُّوا كَأَحْدَثِ صَلاَةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ صَلَّيْتُمُوهَا ” .

Imam Ahmad ibn Shu’ayb al-Nasa’i’s magnum opus, the Sunan an-Nasa’i, is an indispensable part of the Kutub al-Sittah, the six major books of hadith revered in Sunni Islam.
