Sunan an-Nasa’i: Book 13, Hadith 99
“ لاَ تَقُولُوا هَكَذَا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَ السَّلاَمُ وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ” .

Sunan an-Nasa’i stands as one of the six canonical collections of hadith, known as the Kutub al-Sittah, which are foundational to Sunni Islamic jurisprudence and theology. This significant work was compiled by the esteemed 9th-century scholar Ahmad ibn Shu’ayb al-Nasa’i. The collection is distinguished by its author’s meticulous and rigorous methodology, which involved a stringent process for verifying the authenticity of each narration. By deliberately excluding traditions he deemed weak or fabricated, al-Nasa’i created a compilation of over 5,700 hadiths that is highly respected for its reliability and its focused emphasis on the authentic sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad.
