Sunan Abi Dawud: Book 36, Hadith 12
“ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي وَاذْكُرْ بِالْهِدَايَةِ هِدَايَةَ الطَّرِيقِ وَاذْكُرْ بِالسَّدَادِ تَسْدِيدَكَ السَّهْمَ ” . قَالَ وَنَهَانِي أَنْ أَضَعَ الْخَاتَمَ فِي هَذِهِ أَوْ فِي هَذِهِ لِلسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى – شَكَّ عَاصِمٌ – وَنَهَانِي عَنِ الْقَسِّيَّةِ وَالْمِيثَرَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو بُرْدَةَ فَقُلْنَا لِعَلِيٍّ مَا الْقَسِّيَّةُ قَالَ ثِيَابٌ تَأْتِينَا مِنَ الشَّامِ أَوْ مِنْ مِصْرَ مُضَلَّعَةٌ فِيهَا أَمْثَالُ الأُتْرُجِّ قَالَ وَالْمِيثَرَةُ شَىْءٌ كَانَتْ تَصْنَعُهُ النِّسَاءُ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ .
Sunan Abi Dawud: Book 36, Hadith 12
Sunan Abi Dawud is one of the six major hadith collections in Sunni Islam, compiled by the Islamic scholar Abu Dawud al-Sijistani (817–889 CE). It is a comprehensive collection of sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that covers various aspects of Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, and social conduct. The collection contains over 4,800 hadiths, arranged into books that focus on topics such as prayer, purification, fasting, zakat (charity), marriage, and justice.
