Sunan Abi Dawud: Book 31, Hadith 34

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Qilabah through a different chain of narrators on the authority of ‘Imran b. Husain to the same effect. But in this version he did not mention “He spoke severely of them.”

Sunan Abi Dawud: Book 31, Hadith 34

Sunan Abi Dawud is one of the six major hadith collections in Sunni Islam, compiled by the Islamic scholar Abu Dawud al-Sijistani (817–889 CE). It is a comprehensive collection of sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that covers various aspects of Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, and social conduct. The collection contains over 4,800 hadiths, arranged into books that focus on topics such as prayer, purification, fasting, zakat (charity), marriage, and justice. While it is considered highly authoritative, Sunan Abi Dawud includes a critical methodology in selecting hadiths, prioritizing those that are authentic and reliable.
