Sahih Muslim: Book 5, Hadith 316
“ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَانِي أَنْ يَسْتَعِدُّوا لِي بِحُزَمٍ مِنْ حَطَبٍ ثُمَّ آمُرَ رَجُلاً يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ تُحَرَّقُ بُيُوتٌ عَلَى مَنْ فِيهَا ” .

Its creation is credited to the dedicated efforts of Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj, who finalized his work around the year 875. This text is universally accepted as one of the two most authentic books of hadith, sharing this distinguished status with Sahih al-Bukhari. Together, they are part of the six revered collections called the Kutub al-Sittah.
