الرَّاسِبِيِّ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ، يَقُولُ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً إِلَى حَىٍّ مِنْ
أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ فَسَبُّوهُ وَضَرَبُوهُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ
رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
“ لَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ عُمَانَ أَتَيْتَ مَا سَبُّوكَ وَلاَ ضَرَبُوكَ ” .

The above hadith is from the Sahih Muslim collection of hadiths. Within Sunni Islam, the Sahih Muslim holds a position of immense reverence and trust.
