Sahih Muslim: Book 43, Hadith 56
عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ صُهَيْبٍ، يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
قَالَ
“ لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَىَّ الْحَوْضَ رِجَالٌ مِمَّنْ صَاحَبَنِي حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَيْتُهُمْ وَرُفِعُوا إِلَىَّ اخْتُلِجُوا
دُونِي فَلأَقُولَنَّ أَىْ رَبِّ أُصَيْحَابِي أُصَيْحَابِي . فَلَيُقَالَنَّ لِي إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ
” .

The above hadith is from the Sahih Muslim collection of hadiths. The value of Sahih Muslim in the Islamic world cannot be overstated. Compiled by the expert hadith scholar Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj and completed in the ninth century, it has been a trusted resource for over a millennium. It is one of the six canonical collections, the Kutub al-Sittah, which are Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasa’i, and Sunan ibn Majah.
