“ مِنْ عَلاَمَاتِ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلاَثَةٌ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ وَإِذَا ائْتُمِنَ خَانَ ” .

Compiled by the respected scholar Muslim ibn al-Ḥajjāj in the 9th century, specifically around 875, Sahih Muslim is a cornerstone of Islamic literature.
