Riyad as-Salihin: Book 8, Hadith 173

‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me, “Do not be like so-and-so O ‘Abdullah! He used to pray during the night, then stopped the practice.”.

وعن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص، رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏
“‏يا عبد الله لا تكن مثل فلان‏:‏ كان يقوم الليل فترك قيام الليل‏”‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏
