Riyad as-Salihin: Book 3, Hadith 2

Samurah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘Wear white clothes because they are the purest and they are closest to modesty; and shroud the dead in it.”.

وعن سمرة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏‏
“‏إلبسوا البياض؛ فإنها أطهر وأطيب، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم‏”‏.‏ ((رواه النسائي والحاكم))
