Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 9, Hadith 41

(Another chain that) Abu Qatadah narrated: About the wild donkey, and it is similar to the (previous) narrated of Abu An-Nadr except that in the narration of Zaid bin Aslam he said that the Messenger of Allah said: “Do you have any of its meat left with you?”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، فِي حِمَارِ الْوَحْشِ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي النَّضْرِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي، حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏
“‏ هَلْ مَعَكُمْ مِنْ لَحْمِهِ شَيْءٌ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

The above hadith is from the Jami` at-Tirmidhi collection of hadiths. Compiled in the 9th century by the esteemed Islamic scholar Imam Abu Isa Muhammad ibn Isa al-Tirmidhi, the Jami` at-Tirmidhi is a foundational collection of hadith. It holds a position of immense value within Sunni Islam as one of the six canonical books known as the Kutub al-Sittah. This revered set also includes the works of al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Nasa’i, and ibn Majah.
