Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 6, Hadith 37

Aisha narrated: “When the Messenger of Allah would prostrate (for recitation of) the Qur’an, he would say: (Sajada wajhiya lilladhi khalaqahu wa shaqqa sam’ahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwwatihi.) (I have prostrated my face to the One Who created it, and made its hearing and vision, though His ability and power.)”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِ بِاللَّيْلِ ‏
“‏ سَجَدَ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ بِحَوْلِهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

The above hadith is from the Jami` at-Tirmidhi collection of hadiths. As a cornerstone of Sunni hadith literature, the Jami` at-Tirmidhi was authored by Imam al-Tirmidhi in the 9th century. Its canonical status is confirmed by its inclusion in the Kutub al-Sittah, the six books that form the primary foundation of Islamic tradition. These are the collections of al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi himself, al-Nasa’i, and ibn Majah. This particular text is notable for its size and structure, comprising over 4,000 hadiths that are neatly divided into 46 separate books.
