Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 40, Hadith 7
“ إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْمَلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا وَأَلْطَفُهُمْ بِأَهْلِهِ ” . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لأَبِي قِلاَبَةَ سَمَاعًا مِنْ عَائِشَةَ . وَقَدْ رَوَى أَبُو قِلاَبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيعٌ لِعَائِشَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَأَبُو قِلاَبَةَ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ . حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ أَبَا قِلاَبَةَ فَقَالَ كَانَ وَاللَّهِ مِنَ الْفُقَهَاءِ ذَوِي الأَلْبَابِ .

The above hadith is from the Jami` at-Tirmidhi collection of hadiths. Within Sunni Islam, the Jami` at-Tirmidhi is revered as one of the six most authentic books of hadith. Its author, Imam al-Tirmidhi, created this extensive compilation during the 9th century. It shares its canonical status with five other monumental works: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan an-Nasa’i, and Sunan ibn Majah. The collection is notably large, consisting of more than 4,000 separate hadith narrations that are presented within a logical framework of 46 distinct books for scholarly reference.
