Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 26, Hadith 21
And there are narrations on this topic from Abu Sa’eed, Abu Hurairah, and Anas. And this Hadith is Hasan Gharib. This Hadith was reported from other narrators, from Sa’eed, from Qatadah, from Abu Muslim, from Al-Jarud, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim’s wandering (animal) stirs the Fire.” Al-Jarud bin Al-Mu’alla is called Ibn Al-‘Al’ but what is correct is Al-Mu’alla.
“ ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرْقُ النَّارِ ” . وَالْجَارُودُ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الْعَبْدِيُّ صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَيُقَالُ الْجَارُودُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ أَيْضًا وَالصَّحِيحُ ابْنُ الْمُعَلَّى .

Sahih (Darussalam)
The above hadith is from the Jami` at-Tirmidhi collection of hadiths. The Jami` at-Tirmidhi is one of the six major hadith collections, or Kutub al-Sittah, revered in Sunni Islamic tradition. Its compiler, Imam al-Tirmidhi, undertook this significant work during the 9th century. This places it alongside other foundational texts like Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan an-Nasa’i, and Sunan ibn Majah. The collection itself is extensive, featuring more than 4,000 individual hadiths that are systematically categorized across 46 distinct books, covering a wide range of theological and legal subjects.
