Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 25, Hadith 37
Shu’bah reported this Hadith from Abu Ya’fur, from Ibn Awfa and said: “We participated in military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (and) we ate locust.”
This was narrated to us by Muhammad bin Bash-shar (who said): “Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us from Shu’bah.”
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَرَوَى شُعْبَةُ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ . حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهَذَا .
