Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Book 21, Hadith 7
“ فُضِّلْتُ عَلَى الأَنْبِيَاءِ بِسِتٍّ أُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى الْخَلْقِ كَافَّةً وَخُتِمَ بِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ ” . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

The above hadith is from the Jami` at-Tirmidhi collection of hadiths. Compiled in the 9th century by the esteemed Islamic scholar Imam Abu Isa Muhammad ibn Isa al-Tirmidhi, the Jami` at-Tirmidhi is a foundational collection of hadith. It holds a position of immense value within Sunni Islam as one of the six canonical books known as the Kutub al-Sittah. This revered set also includes the works of al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Nasa’i, and ibn Majah. Al-Tirmidhi’s specific contribution is a substantial work organized into 46 books, containing over 4,000 narrations that detail the Prophet’s sayings and actions.
