Hisnul Muslim 5
In Islam, supplication, or du’a, is a personal and direct communication between a believer and Allah (God). It is an act of worship expressing a Muslim’s humility, need, and trust in their Creator. Unlike the five daily prayers, which follow a set structure, du’as can be made anytime and in any language. Many du’as are rooted in Arabic and come from the Qur’an and Hadith. Muslims use du’a to seek guidance, forgiveness, help during hardships, or to show gratitude. Supplication reflects a believer’s intimate, sincere relationship with God. It also reminds Muslims of God’s closeness and mercy. Islam teaches that no request is too small or too great for Allah’s attention.
